Business Delegation to Beijing - Perfect World

Our visit to perfect world fulfilled all of our expectations and actually went far beyond our imagination. Perfect World is a pioneer of digital games and a key player of the movie and TV sector, supporting communications all over the world. We started off with a tour of the company campus. touring the fitness room, the relaxation room, the animation studio and the motion room - just to name a few, left me with the impression that employees here are given the very best tools and are spoiled with an environment filled with all the best facilities. It seems that the Perfect World campus does not fall short of the best office standards today. We were welcomed by Kai, VP of international relations at Perfect World. Kai gave us a thorough introduction of the company; the key words I find that best describe this immense company are globalization and digitalization. It is the first Chinese gaming company to export their games and the most successful one at that. Yet perfect world is a key player not only in the gaming industry but also in several other fields. In the movie and TV sector, Perfect world has acquired cinemas, star agencies ‏and reality shows. In fact, they are the top producers and distributors of motion pictures (local and imported) today. Perfect world is also a key player in the animation field, focusing on children's animation with unique technologies that are changing the market. What I found quite refreshing from the ordinary successful company is perfect world's engagement and devotion to education and bettering society. From corporations with top universities such as Yale and Columbia researching the mental effects of video games, to its activity and contribution at the UN. These purely non-profit actions are all aimed to shortening the gap between the Academy and the industry. The company's philosophy is not only business oriented but people oriented as well. Another interesting fact about the company's philosophy is the employee mentality, where hard work - to the most extreme sense of the word, is extremely highly rewarded. So hard work really pays off (quite literally). I found Perfect World to be the perfect example of a truly successful Chinese company that is expanding and is active in a wide range of fields. With an intelligent business strategy and extremely high motivation and understanding of the market, it is no wonder it succeeded to conquer the Chinese market and is moving forward towards globalization.
